IPI employee receives Hansa Luftbild-Preis

At the annual meeting of the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (DGPF), Mirjana Voelsen, M.Sc. was awarded the Hansa Luftbild Prize for the best article of 2021 for her paper entitled Classification and Change Detection in Mobile Mapping LiDAR Point Clouds published with Julia Schachtschneider and Claus Brenner in the journal PFG - Photogrammetrie, Fernerkundung, Geoinformation in June 2021. The PFG is the publication outlet of the DGPF. The purpose of the prize is to promote scientific or technical achievements in photogrammetry, remote sensing and geoinformation, especially with regard to practical applications; it has been awarded annually since 1973. In the article, Ms. Voelsen reports on her master's thesis prepared at the Institute of Cartography and Geoinformatics; she is now a research associate at the Institute of Photogrammetry and GeoInformation (IPI).
