At this year’s ISPRS Geospatial Week in Dubai (https://gsw2025.ae/), the joint paper “Uncertainty and Conceptual Model of a Camera System in a Car Crash Test Scenario” by researchers from the Geodetic Institute of Hannover and Volkswagen AG was awarded the /Best Paper Award/ in the “Vision Metrology and Uncertainty Assessment” workshop.

Authored by Timo Kaminski (VW AG), Sören Vogel (Deutsche Bahn), Karsten Raguse (VW AG), Ingo Neumann and Hamza Alkhatib (GIH), the paper presents a detailed model for quantifying and analyzing the uncertainties of camera systems in realistic crash‑test scenarios.
