Dr. Wei Shen, a current Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, has been awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers. He will join the Institute for Risk and Reliability, Leibniz Universität Hannover, to collaborate with our team on fundamental research for dynamic reliability-based structural optimization. Our specific research focus is on the development of a robust optmization approach with respect to vague probabilistic information yet solving first passage problems under non-stationary stochastic excitation efficiently.
