What opportunities does the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science offer students and young researchers in teaching and research, especially in the field of offshore wind energy? Karen Garcia, M.Sc., and Dr.-Ing. Alexander Schendel from the Ludwig Franzius Institute visited the University of San Antonio de Abad del Cusco (UNSAAC) in Cusco, Peru, at the end of December and gave a lecture to civil engineering students and other interested professionals.

The invitation came from Professor Mijail Montesinos, who had  visited the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science in Hannover with a group of students in May 2025.

The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science is currently working on expanding its exchange with the Facultad de Ingeniería Civil at UNSAAC. Marcus Hoppe and César Bustamante from the International Office at LUH visited UNSAAC in May 2025 to establish initial contacts with the faculties.

With its German and English-language courses, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy offers international students a wide range of specialisation options in civil and environmental engineering as well as geodesy and geoinformatics. The excellent research infrastructure offers students and researchers in the early stages of their careers an outstanding connection to current research, particularly in the research areas of "Digital Earth", "Resilient Infrastructure", and "Green Solutions".
